Summer Church Sunday

This coming Sunday, 28th June, we have our Summer Church Sunday. This is an opportunity to invite friends and family to a morning filled with faith, hope and love.

You can use the email sent out by the office with the flyer and Zoom link as an invitation to pass on for more details. Please spend time asking the Father to show you who to invite to this special morning.

We look forward to sharing messages of the goodness of God with those visiting.

Sundays

In current circumstances, we are using Zoom to connect together on Sundays. The meetings will still be recorded and uploaded onto the website under the AM Celebration podcast feed. Each week we will also share the slides from the meeting, so you can go over them and use it in your times with the Lord throughout the week.

Below is the link to connect in on Sundays. So join us at 10:30am from wherever you are via https://zoom.us/j/831517712?pwd=Z3pSSEJiR3MxNlhjTTZQYzBUVTQvUT09.

Please can we encourage everyone to turn on their video (unless there is a good reason not to!) during the celebration. This really helps us to build a sense of community by allowing us to see each other’s faces. If you are not able to have your video turned on, then don’t worry and connect with us anyway.

If you have a personal Zoom account or app on your device, please make sure you are logged out before clicking the link to join. This should avoid you having to fill in meeting ID and password. Email office@cotnjubilee.co.uk if you have any questions.

This past Sunday, Dave Cape shared with us and encouraged us to posture our heart in obedience to the God who is able to transcend space and time.

Conversations with …

Each week, there will be a number of sessions which will each consist of a brief 15 minute talk followed by a chance for you to connect with others and ask questions.

The Zoom link will be the same for both Tuesday and Thursday lunch time sessions. If it changes, there will be a separate notice.

Mum2Mum Information Evening

We hope that this will be a great opportunity to find out more about the Mum2Mum befriending service, which matches young mums in need of support with trained church-based volunteer befrienders.

We will hear from our staff team and current volunteers, as well as one of our mums. We will share with you our plans for an online befriender training course, and our thoughts on what befriending might look like in this current season of social distancing. There will also be a chance to ask any questions you may have.

Rutland Woods Work Party 4th July

A message from Tim Biddlecombe, who is our Jubilee person responsible for managing the woods:

“I hope you saw the videos of the woods during Sunday’s Zoom Celebration, and realised what a beautiful and special place it is.

When I volunteered to help manage the woods I was surprised that Neil described it as a ministry, but soon came to realise that it really is. For some of the young people from Kings Reach it may be their only place of safety, peace and contact with Christians; for others it is a place of reflection and connecting with God, or a time of fun and fellowship with friends, Home Groups and families in a unique and special environment.
This vital ministry needs your help. Left uncared for the undergrowth would soon cover the paths and choke the beautiful flowers; the lake would become virtually invisible and the open spaces smothered in brambles.

Can I encourage you to join our next work party, please? It really is a case of ‘many hands make light work’  especially if you can bring a petrol strimmer/ brushcutter!

For more details and to reserve your place, please contact me on 07850 701037 or at tim.biddlecombe@cotnjubilee.co.uk.

I look forward to seeing you there.
Thank you,
Tim.

P.S.: Gwyneth has promised to supply “goodies” for all the helpers!”

As a Jubilee family, we have been praying more specifically into various areas of our new home-in-process in Parkwood.
If you haven’t received one of the leaflets handed out, please ask the Welcome Team on a Sunday morning.

Prayer points
– Wisdom for the elders & project team as they lead the project.
– For the right building contractor to be appointed.
– Favour with the local contractors.
– Finance.
– Safety of those who work on-site.
– For the project to run smoothly from start to finish with no delays.

Join us as we trust God together to see our new home built to be a place where He is glorified and made known to the community around us.

Family Weekend Away – Update

As I am sure many of you will have suspected, we will not be going ahead with the Jubilee Family Weekend, originally booked in for 26-28 June 2020.

We can now confirm that the venue has kindly agreed to postpone our booking to the weekend of 24th June 2022 (in two years’ time). 2021 was already booked up and as we wanted to have a summer booking we have taken the weekend in 2022.

The payments Jubilee has already made to the venue will not be refunded but held on deposit. Therefore, we are also proposing to hold any moneys you might already have paid and use this to secure your place in 2022. If you are happy with this, you do not need to do anything at this stage. However, we understand that for some of you, finances are tight in light of the circumstances and you may prefer to have your money back and re-book at a later stage.  If this is the case, please email office@cotnjubilee.co.uk with your full name, amount to be repaid and bank details. We will verify the amounts before refunding.

There will be garden games for your enjoyment, beautiful grounds to explore and an inside venue should the weather misbehave.
